Pastoral Counselor

Christine is a pastoral counselor with over 20 years’ experience. A pastoral counselor is one who has a degree from seminary as well as graduate training in psychology, and is able to counsel clients with sensitivity to issues of religion and spirituality. 

Because Christine has a doctorate in Biblical Counseling, her services are most appropriate for Christians or those raised in the Christian faith, even if they are no longer practicing. Yet, her sensitivity and knowledge of other faith traditions are greatly appreciated by those from Muslim, Buddhist, Native American, Jewish, Hindu, and Sikh backgrounds—as well as those who do not currently affiliate with any religious group. Christine has long been recognized as a leader in the interfaith community in Silicon Valley.

She has led women’s recovery groups for South Valley Christian Church through Celebrate Recovery and a support group for Christian victims of domestic violence at GateWay City Church, San José. Moreover, she has served on the counseling team for GateWay Counselors, providing short-term services for free to congregants at the church as well as members of the Silicon Valley community, for over 15 years. Christine also has over 1500 supervised clinical hours as part of her training in psychology.
